We are not a national disaster relief agency or a local charity. We know that many people who have financial troubles and want to get married go to the local town office and don't even bother with a reception. This contest is about far more that giving a wedding to a couple with little financial means. This contest is about giving a dream to a deserving couple who have worked through personal tragedy, contribute to their community and who also happen to have a tight budget.
We are looking for businesses and individuals within our community to contribute to this contest. No matter how you choose assist us, we thank you in advance for your consideration of this amazing opportunity and we look forward to the chance to work with you!
About The Contest:
The Extreme Wedding Giveaway is a brilliant new contest in Dufferin County, where one deserving couple will win a complete wedding package; venue, catering, decor, and basically everything else they could need to have the wedding of their dreams. This is a not-for-profit venture organized and executed by several professional local businesses in the bridal industry.
Applicants, nominated by family and friends, must submit a detailed qualification form in addition to a digital video application to help our judges determine which couple so deserves this incredible opportunity. We are looking for a couple who has faced great challenges and hardship, who could never afford a wedding on such a grand scale. They should be community leaders and mentors, volunteering their time to assist those around them. The winning couple will demonstrate a need financially but also show the committee that they have worked hard to overcome the challenges that have faced and maintain a positive attitude.
How to Become a Sponsor:
Your assistance with this amazing venture would be greatly appreciated. We have several sponsorship opportunities available. One of the most important donations we need is food for the reception. Gift Certificates and cash donations are welcome.
Plate Sponsorship: Individuals or Businesses can sponsor a single or multiple place settings during the wedding reception. A small, discrete table card will be placed at the setting with a personal message from the sponsor. Or sponsors may wish to remain anonymous. Each plate is a donation of $25 or sponsor a table for $200. See the Paypal link below for payment or contact us for direct payment details.
Guest Goodie Bag: All the guests to this dream wedding will receive a special gift bag filled with goodies from sponsor businesses. We encourage discount coupons, promotions, or gifts for the attendees. To include an item in our gift bag, a donation of $50 is required.
